HMBEC developed a business plan for a law firm that specialized in working with non-profit organizations.  After an analysis of service offerings, prices, and time management practices, recommendations were implemented that provided a major boost to the firm’s profitability.
 
 
Our Agency
The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce.   MBDA is the only federal agency created specifically to aid the development of minority-owned businesses in America.

The MBDA provides funding for a network of Minority Business Enterprise Centers (MBECs), Native American Business Enterprise Centers (NABECs), and Minority Business Opportunity Centers (MBOCs) located throughout the Nation.

The current MBDA National Director, David Hinson, was appointed by President Barack H. Obama in July 2009.

The Department of Commerce is a Cabinet-level agency concerned with promoting economic growth.

The current Department of Commerce Secretary, Gary Locke, was appointed by President Barack H. Obama in March 2009.
